A unique institution on the cultural map of Kerala. Kalabhavan has evolved a one world formula for cultural activities. Its service in promoting cultural facets as well as in discovering new talents and promoting existing ones, is indeed enviable.

          A land mark and beacon in the cultural history of Kerala. Founded by Dr.Abel C.M.I on September 3rd 1969. But now , about 4000 students are learning various disciplines of fine arts in Kalabhavan. Children who are above 4 ( and grown ups) and who have talents for fine arts will be admitted for training. Instruments are provided at Kalabhavan. School and college going students will be given classes on Saturdays and Sundays. During these thirty seven years, Kalabhavan has earned the singular distinction of imparting training to nearly 60000 students in the various branches of music and allied arts. Several from among our successful trainees are now employed in music troupes of repute, broadcasting and telecasting net works. Some continue to leave their mark on the silver screen and the mini-screen, as well known artiste of the film and electronic media.

          The Management of this institution is vested in the hands of an elected committee. And their decisions are executed through the office bearers and team of office staff.
